Render to God

"Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar’s.”

Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Matthew 22.17-21 ESV

The heart of the matter is acknowledging what is God's. As long as we insists this belongs to me and that belongs to me, then God gets nothing.

But "For from him and through him and to him are all things." Romans 11.36 ESV

It is better for us to use what we need, enjoy the blessings, share it to bless others, and give to God what God has touched upon our hearts to give back. Could be a tithe or could be more.

And not just material things, but our time. God also wants us to have fellowship time with him.
