Nothing in, nothing out
Money is a tool that can bring benefits, but the pursuit, without regards to the consequences, can lead us astray. “The love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.” 1 Timothy 6.10 ESV
When we have no money,
we worry about today.
When we do not have "enough" money,
we worry about tomorrow.
And we worry even more when we define “enough” money according to worldy values.
But “... do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6.31-34 ESV
Let us trust God and be content that he will always take care of us and our families.
“... Godliness with contentment is great gain,
for we brought nothing into the world,
and we cannot take anything out of the world.”
1 Timothy 6.6-7 ESV
