"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight."
Proverbs 9.10

In this verse, the fear of the LORD "is a fear conjoined with love and hope, and is therefore not a slavish dread, but rather filial reverence." Easton Bible Dictionary

And "the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere."
James 3.17
