Ministry

He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. (Acts 17.24-25 NLT)

We ought to take part in ministry at church or at our fellowship. Not because God needs us. He does not. We minister at our church / fellowship to do God's plan here on earth.

God can choose other people or other means to accomplish his plan, but he invites us to take part in his plan.

And we can accept this invitation with the attitude that ministry is an outlet to express our thankfulness to God and an opportunity to experience more of God's work in / for other people.

Each of us has a role to pick up in our church / fellowship. Some roles are more visible than others. But every role, done sincerely for God's glory and for the love of others, honours God.

Ministry is for everyone. None is too small or too weak to be used by God. Never underestimate what God can do through each of us.

Let us start where we are and ask God to guide us through his plan.
