It is more pleasant to be with positive people than with negative people. Negative people drag us down whereas positive people lift our spirit up.

One of the traits of positive people is thankfulness. Instead of whining about the circumstance they are in, they find something to be thankful for. And so should we as Christians.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5.18 NLT)

"Thankful in all circumstances" includes the uncertain times and the difficult times. At the very least, we can be thankful in the knowledge that God is faithful and we can be confident in his love for us.

We are saved by grace and Jesus has saved a place for us who belong to him.

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? (John 14.1-2 NLT)

So whatever circumstances we are in, we can be and ought to be thankful.
