“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. God sees and thinks beyond months, years, decades, and lifetimes. He understands the intricacies of connected lives and circumstances.

Rain and snow creates direct and indirect impact on living things on earth in places far beyond where and when they fall. So too the actions of individual Christians can have direct and indirect impact on others' lives beyond the place and time of the actions.

We, as the doers, may not see nor understand the impact, but that should not stop us from doing what God tells us to do. So let us obey joyfully, believing in faith that God will accomplish what he sets out to do through us.
