Time to seek God

But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. (2 Peter 3.8-9 NLT)

Pastor Jeff Hartensveld talked about how God does not work like the app on our mobile phone. We order stuffs through our app and we get our orders in short order. But God works on a timescale of infinity, sometimes we get what we pray for in a short while and sometimes we do not know the answer for years or decades.

As for me, an important thing that I need to be reminded time and time again is that I should seek God and enjoy my relationship with him, no matter how long I wait for his answer to my prayers.

When we no longer seek God for His blessings, we have time to seek Him for Himself. (Oswald Chambers)

Enjoying a relationship with God is the best answer to any prayer.
