Be still
Let us do things God's way as he commands us and do not think that we need to help God do his things.
Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world. (Psalm 46.10 NLT)
This verse reminds me of how the Israelites took over Jericho.
"
But the Lord said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns.
When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.
"
(Joshua 6.2-5 NLT)
Seriously, Lord? Just "march around"? I can help. I have this, this, and that from the blessings you gave me.
"Be still, and know that I am God!"
Okay, Lord. Just tell me when I need to do something and I will do.
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3.1 NLT)
