I was listening to Cody Carnes' song Christ be magnified and it dawned on me that this song can go two ways. The first and the default inference (at least when I first heard this song a long time ago and has stuck with me since) is for Christ to be magnified, praised, glorified, lifted high above all else.

The second is in this line: "Christ be magnified in me". Magnified as in looking through a magnifying glass.

If non-believers were to take a powerful magnifying glass to scrutinise me, what would they find? Would they see Christ through and through? 100% Christ? Or would they find bit and bobs of self-centredness, mammon, idols, or whatnot?

Yeah, I am a work-in-progress. I know and God knows.

O God, I am yours. Please purify me and make me like christ, through and through.
