Have you worked on something big and very important? You were busy working on it and someone interrupted you to ask you for a small favour? You thought: I am working on something important, do I really need to stop what I am doing to do this small thing?

I have.

And yet Jesus was working on saving-the-world type of huge and important thing to do. But he had time to do small act of service. John 13 tells us that as Jesus was getting ready to go to the cross, he had supper with his disciples and washed their feet.

And in verse 15, he said

I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.

Lesson learned: I should not feel too important to not have time for small act of service.
