Faith is not just about believing what God can do and will do on earth, but also about beyond earth in the afterlife.

If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die. ...

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. ... For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless

If we believe we will be raised from the dead, what we believe about the afterlife - the resurrected life - is of high importance. Once we crossed to the other side, there is no going back to fix or reconcile something. It is a one way gate.

Let us make sure how we live aligns with our faith about the resurrected life.

As the body without the spirit is dead, so also, faith without works is dead. (James 2.26 NASB)
