Content with what we have
Make sure that your way of life is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, 'I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,' (Hebrews 13.5 LSB)
The world is devious in its way to entice us to want more and more and more. And consequently, to acquire more, we think we need more money and thus a slippery slope to unconcious (or concious) love of money.
We ought to be careful in what we read and watch and diligently guard our desire so we do not become discontent with what the Lord has provided for us.
The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. (Matthew 6.22-23 LSB)
