Self gets in the way of peace. Our desires to have things according to our self-interest blocks the peace from Jesus.

Peace from Jesus rests on the conviction that he is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14.6) and that he loves us (John 13.34).

We do not know what tomorrow brings, but we can be certain that he takes care of us.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6.33 NLT)
