We are often taught to come to the Lord in prayer with all our needs. (Mostly we pray about all our wants.)

It is also good to spend time with the Lord being quiet. Do not ask anything from the Lord; nothing. Just be quiet before the Lord.

Not with an empty mind but thinking about what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. To deeply think about his goodness and his awesomeness. In silence.

Quiet time is for us to be quiet and listen.
