God of

The Bible frequently refers to God as the "God of Abraham", "God of Isaac", and "God of Jacob". This refers to very specific relationships between God and these three people - relationships like no other before Jesus came.

Other people remember what God did through these three as such that they knew there was no other God like the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, so that is how they called God.

Their lives were distinct from the people around them because they serve the loving and powerful God. They did not follow idols or other gods.

How about us? Are our lives the same like non-followers of Christ that they cannot tell the difference between their god and our God?

May it be far from us. May our lives so reflect who God is - that others know that we follow the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
