When we meet
When as followers of Christ we meet together, what comes out of it?
In 1 Corinthians 11.17 (NLT), Paul wrote to the Christians in Corinth:
But in the following instructions, I cannot praise you. For it sounds as if more harm than good is done when you meet together.
How can this be? Did Jesus not say the following in Matthew 18.20 (NLT)?
For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.
We cannot disregard Jesus in our midst when we gather together. We must honour him and put him first and foremost.
When we meet, maybe we should leave out an empty chair to remind us that Jesus is among us.
