Horses and chariots of fire

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm 20.7 ESV)

Easier said than done. At least for me.

I have faith God is protecting me and fighting alongside me. But it does not hurt to be able to see the chariots and horses. Just like Elisha's servant.

He answered, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, please open his eyes, that he may see.” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha. (2 Kings 6.16-17 WEB)

But God wants me to "walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5.7) and he, at times, hides the "horses and chariots of fire" as he sees fit.

I need to keep in mind: although I cannot see them, "those who are with us are more".

Amen.
