Is genealogy important to you?

In the Bible and, according to a friend, even now in Israel, genealogy is important.

Genealogy can show us that "anything is possible". Someone of humble origin may have descendant who comes to be a great person. Or the other way around. It can show a family with illustrious history fall down into oblivion.

In a way, genealogy is a personalised history lesson. And it is personal choices that change the course of history for the immediate family. And, indirectly, the descendants.

A reminder that our choices affect our family in ways that we may not foresee.

help us choose wisely,
so that we build strong foundation
of faith and character
for our families
today and always.
