Is this nitpicky semantics? Or is there actually a difference? Maybe it is splitting hair. I feel a tug this morning to elaborate my (current) thinking on this.

Religious beliefs are doctrines or teachings.

Faith is my "integrated" beliefs and responses to these religious doctrines or teachings. "Integrated" as in "am I walking the talk?"

At its extreme, an atheist can perform religious acts and still believes there is no God in his / her heart due to lack of faith. And one can identify as a "Christian" but not demonstrating his / her faith to live as Christ commanded.

Lord, please strengthen my faith.
