Jesus did not come to abolish the law. "Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose." (Matthew 5.17) Jesus does not want us to live for the law. He wants us to live for God.

"When I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law — I stopped trying to meet all its requirements — so that I might live for God." (Galatians 2.19 NLT)

Let us not blindly follow the law, but instead live for God sincerely. And in the process, we will please God and accomplish the law's purpose.
