"A journey of a thousand li starts with a single step." (Lao Tzu)

Starting can be hard or easy depending on circumstances and what we are starting. The first step is all it takes to start.

We can do it.

Finishing might be harder.

One Chinese "li" is considered 500 m in modern time. So a thousand li would be 500 km (310 miles).

But if we have to get to the destination, then we make the journey anyway. One step at a time. Over and over. Until we reach the destination.

Heaven is far away for sinful humans like you and me. Jesus came to show the way. The first step is easy: accept him as personal saviour and Lord.

Then we take one step at a time, one day at a time to live for God. Some days are easy and some days are hard. But we press on. Until one day we pass away from this bodily life and reach heaven to be with Jesus.
