Boundless curiosity

Have you watched over active toddlers by yourself? They have boundless curiosity to try things out to learn everything. Most things are indeed new to them. We cannot take our eyes off them for too long.

They do not know what is good or bad to put into their mouths. They touch things not understanding if it is dirty or clean. If we stop them, sometimes they cry or throw a tantrum.

Even the smartest of us, compared to God, are like toddlers to him. We try things out seeking what we want to fulfill our worldly desires, not realising what is good or bad for us in the long run. Sometimes we know, but we rebel anyway insisting on our way, instead of God's way.

We should submit ourselves fully to God and trust him unconditionally. He watches over us and he wants only what is good.

Curiosity is good, but it is better when bounded by our submission to God.
