Someone who is shortsighted or nearsighted cannot see distant objects clearly, but can see objects that are near just fine. When it comes to my future, I am shortsighted.

I can plan all I want for my future, but I cannot know what will happen. My plan can, and frequently does, diverge from what I hoped. But God's plan is bigger than that. And he can see far into the future. His plan always work out as he intends it.

I am always amazed at my life's path. Often it seems like it is going the wrong way. But in hindsight, it is the right path to prepare me for my future. I just did not know it.

But God always knows.
