Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.

Imagine you move forward through life and arrive at a place where you need to enter through either one of two doors.
Door one: Achieve a runaway success, be proud, and then fall.
Or door two: Do alright (but not a runaway success) and thus prevented from becoming proud.
(In this scenario, let us assume there is no option to be wildly successful and stay humble.)
Which door would you choose?
