Just because we profess to be Christians, we are still at risk of not recognising Jesus if he comes amongst us. We have preconceived notions of Jesus and confident that we may live according to his words.

So did the Pharisees who put Jesus on the cross. They knew God's words and they were religious. They knew of Jesus and at the same time they did not recognise who Jesus was.

We need to remain open and sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Let us not be like the people whom Jesus will separate when he comes in his glory. They did not recognise Jesus amongst them.
