The Pharisees said to him, “Now you are testifying on your own behalf; what you say proves nothing.”

“No,” Jesus answered, “even though I do testify on my own behalf, what I say is true, because I know where I came from and where I am going. You do not know where I came from or where I am going. You make judgements in a purely human way; I pass judgement on no one. But if I were to do so, my judgement would be true, because I am not alone in this; the Father who sent me is with me.

It is written in your Law that when two witnesses agree, what they say is true. I testify on my own behalf, and the Father who sent me also testifies on my behalf.”

People make a lot of claims about themselves to make them look better than they actually are. Many of them get away with it and benefit, although they are fakes.

When judgement day comes, they will not be able to fake it anymore. They will be exposed and all they have will be taken away.

But when I live my life after Jesus and God the Father is my witness to it, Jesus is my blessing. My relationship with God is what I gain. And when judgement day comes, nobody can take anything away from me.

God is my witness and he stands by me.
