Wash their feet?

In John 13.1-17, we read about Jesus washing the disciples feet. That is the only occurence told and we do not know who usually washed everybody's feet previously. Somehow, no servant was around to wash their feet for the Last Supper.

But Jesus thought the feet should still be washed. He saw a need that nobody was willing to take care of. So Jesus did it himself. Although by right, someone with lower status should wash his feet, Jesus took the task anyway to make sure the need was taken care of.

He washed their feet, because nobody else was willing to humble themselves to do it.

What about you and me?
