Worship together with other believers and fellowship with each other are truly wonderful activities. They can encourage, comfort, and strengthen. I think they are essential.

At the same time, salvation is very much individual. The decision to truly and sincerely believe and obey is individual, never corporate. You and I are saved individually, never together with other believers.

The phrase "personal relationship with God" implies exactly that: personal, not corporate.

Seek deep down at the bottom of the heart: Do I know God as an individual - person to person?

Am I intimate with God?
