Most of life, my approach is to make myself able to do things and have things. "Practice makes perfect", so the saying goes.

Jesus turns it around. I should first believe. And then I am able to obey. And therefore I am able to ...

Not so much to have every "thing". But to have everything and able to do things that fit God's purpose for me.

And that is better.
