"If the world hates you, just remember that it has hated me first. If you belonged to the world, then the world would love you as its own.

But I chose you from this world, and you do not belong to it; that is why the world hates you."

Being chosen by God never gives me the right to be self-righteous. God did not choose me to judge others. He chose me to love others and to bear much fruit for him.

The moment I chose to accept this and give my life to God, a new set of choices opened up for me.

How I make my choices from that point moving forward may not sit well with the world. And that is okay. I no longer belong to the world; I belong to Jesus.
