Plastic is a material that reduces cost and opens up possibilities. It has become ubiquitous due to its benefits. But its overuse and poor waste treatment has created long term negative consequences. It is a complex global problem. Who would have thought, in the early days, that something so good would, in the long term, be not good for the globe.

Life is filled with such Pandora's boxes. Good intentions does not always end well. Our knowledge is limited and our judgments are clouded with bias. Things that would go well in ideal scenario often do not stand up against real life scenario.

But in life, we still have to make decisions regardless and move on. Even with our limitations, it is good to ask ourselves this question, before we set off on a big decision. "What can possibly go wrong?"
