"I [Jesus] have made you [God the Father] known to those you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you, and you gave them to me. They have obeyed your word ..

I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those you gave me, for they belong to you. ..

I pray not only for them, but also for those who believe in me because of their message."

Jesus came to the world but he did not pray for the world. Jesus prayed for his disciples and those who believe through their message.

As indirect disciple, I also get the benefit of being prayed for by Jesus. Wow, what a privilege.
