Society in general does not encourage raising children to be vulnerable or fragile for fear that they would be taken advantage of. And in workplaces, any sign of weakness may lead to a loss of promotion.

Recently, mental health topic has garnered attention. I wonder if this pressure to never show fragility or vulnerability plays a role. I do not know.

What I know is it can be freeing when I can be vulnerable and show the vulnerability to people I trust. At the same time, it is even better if I can be constructive in going about it and be sensitive to God's leading in the circumstance.

God called David "a man after my heart, who will do all my will." (Act 13.22 ESV) And David was someone who was not afraid to bare his soul for his people to see and read. I will never be able to show my vulnerabilities like David, but I can learn from him.
