A blessing's impact

If someone were to give £100 to a homeless person, that £100 would be received as a blessing. (For readers who are not familiar with the value of £100, at the time of writing, that is worth more than US $100.) But for a wealthy person in dire financial trouble, £100 may not help as much as for the homeless person, because she/he might need £10 million or more.

Same £100, different impact. But the attitude of the receiver and what the receiver does with it, actually, is what determines the impact of the blessing. I am reminded of the parable of the talents in Matthew 25.14-30.

So whatever circumstance I am in - good or bad, I need to appreciate each encounter of blessings and use it for God's glory. "Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God .." (James 1.17 GNB)

Lord,
please give me a thankful heart
and help me use every blessing from you
to bless others and glorify you.
