Don't give the Devil a chance
"If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Don't give the Devil a chance."
(Ephesians 4.26-27 GNB)
The curious thing about anger is that it is instantaneous and unpredictable. Same trigger different day may not lead to angry reaction. But when it does, it hits like a tornado. If I do not have something that is well-grounded to hold on to, I get swept away in it.
The Devil is all too happy to sweep me in it and I am going to regret it, if I succumb.
Each and every time anger hits, I must look to God for peace and strength to extend grace to myself and to others. And to deflate the anger as quickly as I can.
