Not about me
"I will stay on with you all, to add to your progress and joy in the faith .."
(Philippians 1.25 GNB)
For Paul, he was clear that it would be better for him to die and go to heaven. However, he knew his calling and the benefit of staying. He knew it was not about himself.
Occasionally I wondered, would it not be nicer if I die early and go to heaven? But it is not about me.
It is about accomplishing God's purpose. My time is up only when God deems I have fulfilled my purpose.
