Some parts of the world have to deal with termites infestations. Termites are tiny insects that come up from the ground through tiny cracks in the wall up the house in search for their food - wood (or wood-derived products). They are tiny enough to go up through within the concrete wall.

They are invisible until the house resident notice some damage and eventually discover their nest. If the infestation is noticed early enough, this problem can be resolved in a relatively minor way. But if too late, major house renovation may be the only course of action.

Infestation in faith is a common problem. Tiny matters seep in unnoticed and gradually build up and become infestation years later.

God calls his disciples to be holy (but not hypocritical). I need to daily recognise the tiny matters that are not pleasing to God and purify myself. I need to do it daily or else gradually and unnoticeably I may find myself a faith infestation.

Lord,
I sin every day.
Please help me recognise them as they are,
To confess them humbly before you,
And to change my ways.
Purify my thoughts oh God
And create in me a clean heart every day.
