Measuring impact (3)

I recently learned that professional runners must also practice slow runs regularly. They cannot run fast all the time; slow run is an integral part of the training programme to improve their performance.

Slow run is measurably not fast. The impact is in the long run and may not be so obvious. But it is proven.

I am used to a fairly fast pace in life. Not always at breakneck speed, but I usually have a goal in mind to nudge me move as fast as I could. And maybe God is teaching me to practice some “slow run” in my life.

It is a difficult training programme so far. But he knows what he is doing.
