No matter what happens nor what I do, God's love for me is unwavering.

How I understand his expression of the love, on the other hand, is a different story. My understanding can be clouded by my circumstances and misunderstandings. And that is on me, not on God.

Like a ship at sea looking at the stars. Sometimes there might be fog or clouds hindering my view. But the stars are there, shining as always.

I need to always remember this.
