Illusion of control
There are many things in daily life that I take for granted that I am in control of. The more money I think I have, the more control I feel I have, although control is not always about money.
Advertising is misleading us to think we can have control if we buy what they are selling. But control is often an illusion.
Things that I assume are in my control, under the hoods are moving parts that are not truly in my control. They can get derailed and then I will no longer have control.
At daily level, things may seem out of control. But at macro level, God is in control. We may not be able to see it; this is faith territory. And this is the essence of faith that God is always in control and his promises do come true in his time.
