“… Greed is a form of idolatry.”

(Colossians 3.5 GNB)

The definition of greed is “a desire for a lot more than I need” (Cambridge Dictionary). If I am honest, I am greedy in many areas. Maybe subtle and seem justifiably normal, but greed is greed.

If I agree that all I need is Christ, then a desire for more means I desire something else that is not Christ. And this is idolatry.

If I reframe what I want greedily as idolatry, how will this change my life?
