“You must put to death, then, the earthly desires at work in you, such as sexual immorality, indecency, lust, evil passions, and greed (for greed is a form of idolatry).

Because of such things God's anger will come upon those who do not obey him.

At one time you yourselves used to live according to such desires, when your life was dominated by them.

But now you must get rid of all these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings.”

(Colossians 3.5-8 GNB)

The New Testament is not all about lovey dovey. God’s anger is clearly spelled out. Some actions or behaviours anger God.

And at the same time, he loves each and everyone. Including the many people who anger him. How does this work in real lives?

I do not know.

I know that I am not him and I am not the judge. So I want to be sensitive to God’s direction on how to love people as he loves them.
