"You still live as the people of this world live. When there is jealousy among you and you quarrel with one another, doesn't this prove that you belong to this world, living by its standards?"

I find it hard to read in the media of people who claim to be Christians and yet openly quarrelling with others. All to achieve their own jealousy-driven goals, not God's glory. Or Christians openly supporting people who act like those in order to further their own interest.

God does not need people supporting him in worldly ways. He is sovereign and powerful. He will accomplish his plan even when no human is behind him.

He does not want me to quarrel and be jealous. He wants me to love him and love others. Worldly agenda does not honour him. Being Christlike honours him.

Lord,
I do not want to belong to this world
please help me live in ways that honour you
