Gratitude (2)
"I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength for my work." (1 Timothy 1.12 GNB)
I know people who do not have a choice but to work hard for the rest of their lives. Otherwise they or their families cannot survive. I also know people who are wealthy and do not need to work for the rest of their lives. But they still do and as hard as ever.
Work is necessary. It can be a curse for some and a blessing for others. Everyone's circumstance is different. God in his wisdom has placed each of us where we are for a purpose.
I have accomplished a few things in life. Less than some people, but also more than some. I am thankful for this.
I am trusting God that he has given me strength, and continue to give me strength, to do things to accomplish something for his plan. I want to continue whatever God has allowed me to pursue. I want to be productive until the end of my life - to do things to accomplish his plan. And for that, I give thanks.
