Legacy
Too many people are focused on seeking fortune and fame as legacy for their family - over and above leaving the legacy of faith. They may claim that faith is more important, but their actions betray their claim.
The priorities one upholds are the real proofs. So many of daily decisions, consciously or unconsciously, reflect the real priorities. And these priorities will have impacts - intentional and unintentional impacts.
If faith is of higher priority, do my decisions prioritise faith over seeking fortune and fame? As a result of my daily decisions, will those who come after me follow in the faith?
"I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did. ... I remember the sincere faith you have, the kind of faith that your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice also had. I am sure that you have it also."
(2 Timothy 1.3-5 GNB)
Lord,
please give me clear conscience daily
to make a legacy of faith
