Everybody carries his / her own baggage. But just because the generation before me raised or educated me in a certain way, does not mean I ought to raise or educate the generation after me the same way.

I can choose not to hand over the baggage, to not burden the generation after me with the same burden.

I can choose to leave a different legacy.
