Why rush (2)?

I rush usually because I want things to go exactly as I want them. I want to control the process so I get the outcome I want. Rushing is an adjustment to the process to optimise the outcome, be it as a reaction to external factor or otherwise.

And in rushing, I may forget things or make mistakes. Which may make the process in the big picture go less optimal than wanted. Such is life.

The irony is that the daily rushing often makes little to no change to the big picture. It does not make me go to heaven any quicker nor slower.

It only makes me feel a tiny bit better that I am more in control for the day. But am I?

Lord,
please help me enjoy the moments
