“The Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control.”

What do “power, love, and self-control” have anything to do with not being “timid”?

It is clear that “power, love, and self-control” is enough to get me through whatever it is God wants me to go through. In relationships, in serving him, or in work.

I lack them, but the Spirit compensates for me. I can trust the Spirit and be confident in the power, love, and self-control from the Spirit. I do not meed to be timid.
