I can die without notice any given day. I may be healthy at the moment and my father lived to his nineties. But as they say in the financial world, “past performance does not guarantee future performance”.

It could be tomorrow or it could be decades away. Any given day, am I ready to die?

By the grace of Christ, I think I am.

“He saved us and called us to be his own people, not because of what we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. He gave us this grace by means of Christ Jesus … He has ended the power of death and through the gospel has revealed immortal life.”
