A different plan (4)
"From his throne in heaven the Lord laughs and mocks their feeble plans."
(Psalms 2.4 GNB)
"Now listen to me, you that say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to a certain city, where we will stay a year and go into business and make a lot of money.” You don't even know what your life tomorrow will be! You are like a puff of smoke, which appears for a moment and then disappears. What you should say is this: “If the Lord is willing, we will live and do this or that.”"
(James 4.13-15 GNB)
I do not know the details of God's plan, but this does not stop me from planning. My plan may come up short, but the planning is important for me to be prepared to face whatever comes my way. Although in reality, not always.
A plan that is going in a completely different direction from God's direction, no matter what, does not help much. It would be more constructive if the planning is in the same general direction as God's.
I need to empty my self from worldly desires when planning. And, with humble attitude, ask the Holy Spirit to guide me, so my plan is not disjointed from God's plan.
